Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Aircraft Safety and Compliance Officer to join its fully remote aviation team. You will design, implement, and oversee the Safety Management System, ensuring adherence to evolving local SACAA and international ICAO standards while supporting diverse operations from any location.

The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least five years in aviation safety or quality assurance, and strong analytical, auditing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of local and international aviation regulations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with aviation regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments of procedures and aircraft.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with SACAA and ICAO standards.
• Deliver safety training across departments.
• Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Prepare management reports on safety performance and audits.
• Liaise with regulators during audits and inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
