Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Specialist for a forward-looking aviation technology firm. You will safeguard aircraft systems and data from cyber threats while working from a remote location.

The role includes developing cybersecurity strategies, conducting vulnerability assessments, and incident response, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cybersecurity with ICS/aviation focus, strong risk management skills, and relevant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
5+ years in cybersecurity with ICS or aviation focus.
Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
Knowledge of network security, cryptography, and security frameworks.
Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work autonomously remotely.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity strategies and policies for aviation.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses of aircraft systems and OT.
Monitor networks and systems for breaches; respond to incidents and mitigate damage.
Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
Ensure compliance with aviation cybersecurity regulations and best practices (NIST, CMMC, aviation standards).
Provide cybersecurity awareness training across the organization.
