Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to join a growing security operations team. You will monitor security alerts from home, perform threat analysis, and implement robust controls to safeguard aviation IT systems and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Proven experience with SIEM tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, cryptography, and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with aviation-specific IT systems and security concerns is a plus.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM systems for suspicious activity and potential threats.
• Conduct in-depth incident analysis, identify root causes, and recommend mitigations.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and best practices for aviation IT.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on aviation systems.
• Respond to breaches and manage incident response activities promptly.
