Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Automotive Systems Engineer to drive the integration and development of vehicle systems from a home office. You will define system requirements, oversee architecture, and ensure seamless integration of components and software.

You will collaborate with a global, distributed team to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards while influencing future vehicle designs with cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of vehicle architectures, control systems, and electronic components.
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) and diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and specifications for automotive subsystems, ensuring alignment with overall vehicle objectives.
• Develop and maintain system architecture designs, considering interactions between electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Oversee the integration of various automotive subsystems, such as powertrain, chassis control, ADAS, and infotainment.
• Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure successful implementation of system designs.
• Conduct system-level testing and validation, identifying and resolving integration issues.
• Analyze system performance data and implement optimizations to meet design targets.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards, safety regulations (e.g., ISO 26262), and industry best practices.
