Placements24 is seeking a Lead Automotive Software Engineer to drive the development of in-car infotainment and connectivity systems. This fully remote, full-time role allows you to shape automotive UX from anywhere in South Africa.

You will architect robust software, lead a talented team, and ensure seamless integration across vehicle platforms, with expertise in C++, RTOS (QNX/AUTOSAR), and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development, with 5+ years in automotive.
• Proven experience leading software teams and managing project lifecycles.
• Strong C/C++, embedded systems programming with RTOS expertise (QNX/AUTOSAR).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of software modules for automotive infotainment and connectivity.
• Architect scalable and maintainable software solutions using modern C++.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers and define coding standards.
