Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Automotive Software Architect to design the future of vehicle software, spanning infotainment, telematics, and autonomous driving. You will define the technical vision and high-level designs for scalable, secure platforms, working with global teams from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development with at least 5 years in an architecture role in automotive.
• Experience designing real-time distributed embedded systems.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall software architecture for connected automotive systems (infotainment, telematics, autonomous driving).
• Establish software design principles, patterns, coding standards, and best practices for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, hardware engineers, and software teams to translate requirements into designs.
• Evaluate technologies and tools to support architecture.
• Develop high-level design specifications and proofs-of-concepts for new features.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and standards (AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
