Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Automotive Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems to design, develop, and test critical software for next-generation vehicle systems, including infotainment, driver assistance, powertrain, and connectivity.

The ideal candidate has strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience (FreeRTOS/QNX), and familiarity with CAN/LIN/Automotive Ethernet. Remote collaboration, independent work, and contribution to architecture and testing are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably in automotive.
Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.
Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or QNX.
Familiar with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet.
Experience with embedded development tools, compilers, debuggers, and emulators.
Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent remote communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
Develop software for RTOS and bare-metal environments.
Implement and optimize algorithms for performance-critical applications.
Integrate software components with hardware platforms and sensors.
Utilize automotive protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS for system integration.
Write unit tests and perform integration testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams remotely.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
Troubleshoot and debug software issues.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs and test plans.
