Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client’s remote team. You will protect vehicles and connected car systems from cyber threats, analyze vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents in a flexible virtual environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of automotive networks (CAN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS), embedded security, and modern cybersecurity practices, with opportunities to influence security across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on automotive systems, networks, and applications.
• Analyze threat intelligence and security trends relevant to the automotive industry.
• Develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies and controls for connected vehicles.
• Monitor security alerts and logs, investigate potential security incidents, and coordinate response efforts.
• Design and configure security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption solutions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, UN R155).
• Create and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training and guidance to relevant teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures throughout the product development lifecycle.
