Formación

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• Proven experience as a cybersecurity analyst in automotive or embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive threats, CAN/UDS, ISO 21434.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, monitoring tools and IDS.
• Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
• Analytical, autonomous work style.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Remote Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard the digital security of their connected vehicle platforms, supporting operations including those in Paarl . In this crucial fully remote position, you will be responsible for monitoring security threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security measures across vehicle networks and associated cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in protecting sensitive data and ensuring the integrity and safety of our connected automotive products. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor automotive networks and systems for security breaches, intrusions, and suspicious activities.
• Analyze cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities specific to connected vehicles and automotive systems.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for automotive cybersecurity.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on vehicle software and connected services.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate their root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into the vehicle development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst , with a focus on automotive or embedded systems security.
• Strong understanding of automotive cybersecurity threats, protocols (e.g., CAN, UDS), and standards (e.g., ISO 21434).
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
• Experience with vulnerability management, risk assessment, and incident response.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
