Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Commercial Pilot for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will enable flight planning, monitoring, and remote assistance for a fleet of commercial aircraft from a home office.

Ideal candidates have ATPL/CPL with type ratings, 5+ years of commercial flight experience, and strong FMS mastery. Remote operability and excellent communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• ATPL or CPL with type ratings required.
• 5+ years in commercial aviation as a Captain or FO.
• Experience with glass cockpit and FMS.
• Proficient in weather navigation and remote operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially over distance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive flight planning and route analysis using advanced flight management systems.
• Monitor flight progress in real time and provide guidance to flight crews remotely.
• Analyze flight data to identify operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with international regulations from a remote location.
• Serve as primary contact for flight crews during critical phases of flight.
• Coordinate with dispatch, ATC, and ground teams to manage schedules.
• Utilize simulation tools for training and scenario planning.
• Maintain detailed logs of remote operations and communications.
• Stay updated on aviation tech and regulatory changes.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and training.
