Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Systems Software Developer for a fully remote role with a global aviation tech leader. You’ll design, develop, and implement software for flight control, navigation, and communications, ensuring safety-critical standards.

Work with an international distributed team, write code in C++, Python, or Ada, perform unit and integration tests, and document all work. This role emphasizes high-quality, reliable software and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in embedded real-time software development.
Proficiency in C++, Python, or Ada.
Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies; knowledge of avionics standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software for aircraft systems.
Write clean, well-documented code in languages such as C++, Python, or Ada.
Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware developers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
Implement software solutions that integrate with aircraft hardware.
Perform rigorous software testing, including unit, integration, and system tests.
Troubleshoot and debug software issues and improve code quality.
Participate in code reviews and document software development processes.
