Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Aviation Software Developer to design, implement, and deliver software for flight control and simulation platforms. You will work with a global team to build reliable aviation solutions and contribute across the software stack.

The role requires 3+ years in aerospace or complex systems, with proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or Ada, and experience with RTOS/embedded development. DO-178C familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in aerospace or complex systems.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or Ada for aviation.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded systems development.
• Familiarity with DO-178C aviation standards is a plus.
• Strong remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software for flight control and simulation systems.
• Design robust APIs and backend services for aviation software.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to define software requirements.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects in development and production environments.
