Placements24 seeks a Remote Aircraft Performance Engineer to analyze flight data, develop models, and optimize aircraft performance from a home office. You will work with a globally distributed team on challenging aerospace projects, driving fuel efficiency, range, and payload optimization while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 8 years of experience, strong Python and MATLAB/Simulink skills, and a solid understanding of aerodynamics and propulsion.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace Engineering with a strong focus on performance analysis.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft performance engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience with aircraft performance modelling software and tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, propulsion systems, and flight mechanics.
• Proficiency in data analysis techniques and interpretation of complex flight data.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for remote work.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results remotely.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, FORTRAN).

Responsabilidades

• Analyze flight data to assess and optimize aircraft performance, including fuel efficiency, range, and payload capacity.
• Develop and validate mathematical models for aircraft performance prediction under various flight conditions.
• Conduct performance testing and analysis for new aircraft configurations, systems, and operational procedures.
• Investigate performance-related anomalies and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with flight operations, design engineering, and maintenance teams remotely to provide performance insights and support.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation detailing performance analyses and recommendations.
• Stay current with advancements in aircraft performance engineering, aerodynamic principles, and related technologies.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of company tools and methodologies for performance analysis.
• Ensure all analyses and recommendations comply with relevant aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Participate actively in virtual team meetings, design reviews, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
