Job summary

Mecs Africa is seeking a Remote Aircraft Maintenance Planner Supervisor to oversee scheduling and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities from a remote location. The role focuses on airworthiness, readiness, minimizing downtime, and optimizing resources with maintenance teams, operations control, and engineering.

The candidate should have at least 5 years in maintenance planning or coordination, strong regulatory knowledge (CAR Part 43, EASA Part M), and proficiency with planning

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance planning or coordination.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in aircraft maintenance software and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with remote teams.
• Certification or degree in aviation maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term and short-term maintenance plans, including checks and major repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with flight operations, maintenance personnel, and third-party providers.
• Utilize AMOS/TRAX to track maintenance status, life limits, and tasks.
• Ensure activities comply with aviation regulations and the client manual.
• Monitor backlog and resources; resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Generate reports on status, activities, and KPIs for management.
