Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics & Governance Specialist to join its fully remote team. The role focuses on developing frameworks, policies, and best practices to promote fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems, while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.

You will conduct ethical risk assessments, monitor AI deployments, and advise teams on responsible AI implementation from a remote setting, staying up to date with global standards and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Master's or advanced degree in a relevant field (Law, Ethics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or Philosophy).
• 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, technology governance, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their ethical implications.
• Knowledge of current and emerging AI regulations and policy landscapes.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI ethics guidelines, policies, and governance frameworks across the organization.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects, identifying potential biases and unintended consequences.
• Monitor AI systems for fairness, transparency, and compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
