Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on structural mechanics.
• 5+ years of experience in stress analysis within aerospace.
• Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS or NASTRAN.
• Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, plasticity and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with materials under extreme conditions and validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and stress calculations on aerospace components using FEA.
• Develop and validate finite element models for static, dynamic and fatigue analyses.
• Interpret results and provide actionable recommendations to design engineers.
• Conduct failure mode analysis and recommend design modifications for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and integrity.
• Document methodologies, results and conclusions for regulatory submissions.
