Placements24 seeks an experienced Aircraft Stress Engineer to join our structural analysis team in Klerksdorp. You will perform detailed structural analyses and testing to ensure safety of aircraft components under varied loads, using advanced simulation tools.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, develop analytical models (NASTRAN/ANSYS), interpret test results, and document methods and recommendations, within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in aerospace structural analysis or stress engineering.
• Proficiency in FEA software and techniques.
• Strong understanding of materials, mechanics, and dynamics.
• Experience with aerospace industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) on aircraft structures to assess stress and fatigue life.
• Develop and validate analytical models using industry-standard software (NASTRAN, ANSYS).
• Interpret test results and correlate with analytical predictions.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize structures for weight and performance.
• Prepare technical reports documenting methods, results, and recommendations.
