Placements24 is seeking a bright actuarial analyst to join the life insurance team in Klerksdorp. You will help price new products, value liabilities, and monitor reserves to support the financial soundness of the portfolio.

You will collaborate with product development, finance, and risk management to deliver actuarial insights and drive strategic decisions in a dynamic market within the North West region. Fully remote working environment offered, with flexibility for colleagues across SA.

Qualifications

• Progress towards or completion of ASSA actuarial exams.
• 2–4 years of actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Knowledge of valuation techniques.
• Proficiency in Prophet or MoSes and Excel/SQL.

Requirements

• Progress towards or completion of actuarial examinations (e.g., Actuarial Society of South Africa - ASSA).
• 2-4 years of experience in actuarial roles within the life insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, principles, and valuation techniques.
• Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex actuarial concepts.
