Somewhere, a U.S.-based real estate company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller based in South Africa to own day-to-day accounting remotely during US Eastern hours. You will manage the close across multiple entities, handle intercompany activity, payroll, and recurring reporting for owners, lenders, and investors, and coordinate with US-based accounting and tax providers.

Qualifikationen

• Five+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• BCom Accounting or BAcc; CTA or postgraduate diploma is a plus.
• CA(SA) designation or SAICA training/SAIPA designation preferred.
• Multi-entity real estate accounting experience, including intercompany activity.
• US GAAP knowledge or IFRS experience with readiness to apply US GAAP.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Bill.com or similar payables platform experience.
• Able to work independently, stay organized, and communicate clearly in writing and on video calls.

• Own the monthly close across multiple entities and prepare financial statements for CFO review.
• Complete bank, debt, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Route invoices, set up vendors, and manage payment status questions.
• Prepare payroll for CFO approval.
• Coordinate day-to-day with US-based outside accounting and tax providers.
• Prepare monthly owner reporting packages and lender/investor reporting.
• Maintain cash forecast and loan portfolio tracking.
• Assemble audit support and tax workpapers as needed.
