Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in Gauteng, South Africa is seeking a hands-on support role for a highly organized individual who can step confidently into different consultants' desks. You will manage bookings, quotes and itineraries, handle requotes, and assist in developing educational bookings with the sales team.

The role requires 3–5 years of inbound tour consulting experience, knowledge of Tourplan and MS Office, and a strong understanding of SA and Africa travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years inbound tour consulting experience.
• Tourplan and MS Office knowledge advantageous.
• Good knowledge of South Africa, Southern and East Africa preferred.
• Understanding of travel industry channels, terms and conditions, and third party and company product knowledge.
• Solid grasp of sales process and methodology, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated and administration driven.
• Flexible and willing to work rotational early and late shifts, as well as rotational emergency duty.

Responsibilities

• Step in to manage colleagues' desks in full while they're on leave or training, including handling requotes and ongoing proposals.
• Assist with brochure quotes.
• Assist in developing agent educational and hosted educational bookings, working closely with the sales team to ensure smooth execution.
• Support the implementation of new systems and procedures, including testing.
• Chase and follow up on provisional bookings across the relevant team.
• Follow up on dead leads during quieter periods.
• Assist with loading bookings for consultants during peak periods.
• Creatively plan and design itineraries.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners and colleagues.
