Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking a seasoned Lodge Anchor/Relief Manager to maintain the lodge’s award-winning standing and world-class guest experiences. You will anchor operations in the Lodge Manager’s absence, lead a large team, and collaborate across departments to ensure top-tier service.

Requirements include a formal hospitality qualification, 5+ years in a 5* property, driver’s license, excellent English, and strong computer and reservations knowledge.

Qualifications

• Formal hospitality qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years in a Lodge Anchor/Relief Manager or Assistant Lodge Management role at a 5* property.
• Driver’s license essential.
• Excellent command of the English language; strong communication.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with reservations and accounting systems.
• Travelyst experience and Xero experience are advantageous.
• Proven track record of leading a large team and building guest rapport.

• Uphold brand and operational standards to deliver a world-class guest experience.
• Collaborate with lodge team and anchor lodge in the absence of Lodge Manager.
• Assist with Health and Safety protocols and maintenance systems.
• Monitor and control stock levels; support central procurement and invoicing as needed.
• Handle daily administration and hosting duties.

• Ensure that the lodge is recognised as an award-winning and world-leading lodge.
• Upholding the brand standards and overall operational standards.
• Ensuring an overall world-class guest experience.
• Collaborating with the lodge team.
• Anchoring the lodge while the Lodge Manager is not available.
• Assisting with all Health and Safety protocols.
• Assisting with the maintenance system.
• Assisting with team-related issues.
• Monitor, control, and record stock levels for all departments.
• Timeous support and communication with other departments across the business.
• Assist, if required, with central procurement / deliveries and invoicing.
• Daily administration.
• Hosting.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• A formal qualification: Hospitality diploma | degree or similar.
• At least 5 years in a Lodge Anchor / Relief Manager role and / or Assistant Lodge Management role at a 5* property.
• Driver’s license essential.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Computer literate & technologically savvy.
• Basic accounting and/or bookkeeping skill (Xero experience to your advantage).
• Knowledge of reservation systems (Travelyst experience to your advantage).
• Excellent knowledge of Excel will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of successfully leading a large team (leading, motivating coaching etc).
• Excellent at building guest rapport.
• Excellent communicator.
• Proven track record of achieving results | goals.
