Placements24 is seeking a proactive Rehabilitation Assistant to support individuals recovering from injury or illness in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will work under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help clients regain mobility, strength, and independence through therapeutic exercises and daily living support.

Qualifications

• Qualification or certification in healthcare assistance, physiotherapy assistance, or related field.
• Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and therapeutic exercise principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and support clients.
• Physical ability to assist clients with movement and mobility.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and mobility tasks.
• Help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as part of rehabilitation.
• Monitor clients during exercises and report pain or discomfort.
• Document client progress and participation in rehabilitation sessions.
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment and supplies for therapy sessions.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support throughout rehabilitation.
