Placements24 in Benoni seeks a compassionate Rehabilitation Support Assistant to help clients regain independence through guided rehabilitation activities in a Gauteng community setting.

You will work alongside therapists and healthcare professionals to implement plans, provide daily living support, and motivate clients during recovery. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a chance to contribute to patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation support role.
• Understanding of basic rehabilitation principles and techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy and a strong commitment to client care.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic first aid certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with exercises and activities prescribed by therapists.
• Provide support with personal care, mobility and daily living activities.
• Monitor clients' progress and report observations to the rehabilitation team.
• Encourage clients to participate actively in rehabilitation programs.
• Help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.
• Educate clients and families on rehabilitation techniques and ongoing care.
