Placements24 seeks a Regional Warehouse and Operations Manager to oversee multiple facilities in the Cape Winelands. You will drive inventory accuracy, safe operations, and efficient dispatch from the Paarl hub.

Candidate will lead warehouse teams, implement WMS, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance across sites in the Western Cape. A hands-on, detail-oriented leader familiar with agribusiness is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, or business administration.
• 5–7 years of progressive warehouse management and operations experience.
• Experience managing multiple warehouse sites or a large facility in the Western Cape.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, WMS, and warehousing best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of multiple warehouse facilities across the Cape Winelands, coordinating from the Paarl hub.
• Ensure accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching of goods.

About the Role

Our client, a leading agricultural producer and exporter, is seeking a diligent and experienced Regional Warehouse and Operations Manager to oversee their extensive storage and distribution facilities across the picturesque Cape Winelands region, with central oversight from Paarl , Western Cape. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient management of inventory, the smooth flow of goods, and the operational excellence of multiple warehouse sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing best practices in warehousing, inventory control, safety, and team leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manager to make a substantial impact on critical supply chain operations within a thriving agricultural business. Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize the operations of multiple warehouse facilities across the Cape Winelands , coordinating activities from the Paarl hub. Ensure efficient inventory management, including accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols across all warehouse sites to maintain a secure working environment. Lead, train, and develop warehouse teams, fostering a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Monitor and manage operational costs within the warehouses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety and export/import requirements where applicable. Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of warehouse operations with the broader supply chain. Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance inventory accuracy, operational visibility, and productivity. Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, such as inventory accuracy, on-time dispatch, and operational costs.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management and operations, preferably within the agricultural or food production sectors. Proven experience managing multiple warehouse sites or a large single facility, ideally within the Western Cape, specifically the Cape Winelands . Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse best practices, and WMS software. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and warehouse management systems. Understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehousing and logistics. Ability to manage budgets and control operational expenses effectively. Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the Paarl and surrounding areas.
