Job summary

Vector Logistics Limited in Cape Town is seeking a Regional Supply Chain Assistant to support the regional operations across procurement, logistics and account administration. You will assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving supply chain efficiencies while engaging with regional teams to drive key initiatives.

You will handle daily customer admin, service queries and data updates, acting as a frontline information conduit to the Account Manager and other Vector departments

Qualifications

• Matric with tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering/Procurement/Supply Chain or Logistics or a related field.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of logistics practices and procurement processes.
• Experience in FMCG sales environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with 3PL concepts and regional supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing regional spend, categories and suppliers to identify opportunities.
• Liaise with Regional Finance to verify savings and impact on bottom line.
• Maintain an active action and benefits plan with weekly reporting.
• Support regional project implementations and new product launches.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on service levels and activity.
