About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the hospitality and leisure sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Sanitation Supervisor to oversee sanitation standards across its multiple establishments in and around Durban, KwaZulu-Natal . This critical role ensures that all operational areas maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, in line with strict company policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring sanitation programs, managing cleaning teams, and ensuring compliance across a defined region. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily cleaning and sanitation activities across multiple venues in the Durban region.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective sanitation protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, including kitchens, public spaces, guest rooms, and back-of-house operations, to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Train, guide, and manage cleaning staff, ensuring they are proficient in their duties and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, placing orders as needed and managing usage efficiently.
• Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations specific to KwaZulu-Natal .
• Collaborate with F&B and Operations Managers to integrate sanitation efforts effectively into daily operations.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, staff training, inventory, and incident reports.
• Implement and promote best practices in waste management and pest control across all facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role focused on cleaning and sanitation, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing cleaning teams and implementing sanitation programs.
• Thorough understanding of cleaning chemicals, disinfection methods, and sanitation equipment.
