Placements24 is seeking an Area Retail Manager to oversee multiple stores around Pretoria. The role requires leading store teams, driving sales, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across the region, with a hybrid model including travel to stores and strategic remote planning.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in retail management (3+ in multi-store roles), strong leadership, and solid merchandising/operational expertise. A relevant degree is advantageous and travel is expected.

Formación

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a multi-store capacity.
• Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage profitability across multiple locations.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent understanding of retail operations, merchandising and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Pretoria area.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is advantageous.
• Experience in the specialty retail sector is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and direct performance of multiple retail stores within the assigned geographical area.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales, profitability, and customer service targets.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop store managers and their teams to foster a high-performance culture.
• Monitor store performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, visual merchandising guidelines, and operational procedures across all locations.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize inventory levels for assigned stores.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide support, and ensure operational excellence.
• Implement company-wide initiatives and promotions effectively at the store level.
• Foster a strong customer‑centric approach and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Report on area performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
