Job summary

EdUpStairs is seeking a seasoned public administration professional to supervise Independent Correctional Centre Visitors (ICCV) within the region. You will coordinate activities, allocate tasks, review reports and ensure effective oversight across correctional facilities.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12 or higher with relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Justice Cluster and at least 2 years’ supervisory experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Public Service Act & National Treasury Regulations
• Competent in MS Office suite; strong communication & planning abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide management, supervision and control of Independent Correctional Centre Visitors within the region
• Coordinate ICCV activities, allocate work, review reports and monitor attendance and performance
• Facilitate induction and training arrangements for staff
• Manage complaints and ensure proper recording and escalation of issues
• Coordinate Visitors’ Committee and stakeholder meetings, prepare agendas and track resolutions
• Conduct performance evaluations and compile statistical reports; maintain records and liaise with stakeholders to support oversight
