The Regional Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of the company’s armoured fleet across a designated region. This role ensures that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of security and mechanical efficiency while supporting business operations in line with industry regulations and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Maintenance & Availability
- Ensure all vehicles are regularly maintained according to schedule.
- Minimise vehicle downtime and disruptions to CIT.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee vehicle safety inspections and audit readiness.
3. Budget & Cost Control
- Manage regional fleet budgets, fuel usage, and maintenance expenditure.
- Identification of opportunities for cost reduction.
- Vetting and analyses of quotes received from vendors, or repairers.
4. Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead and support local fleet teams across multiple branches.
- Oversee performance of third-party maintenance providers.
5. Asset Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate acquisition, replacement, and disposal of fleet assets.
- Manage vehicle tracking, condition, and lifespan.
6. Operational Efficiency
- Improve fleet utilisation, route efficiency, and service performance.
- Ensure vehicle availability meets service delivery requirements.
7. Incident & Risk Management
- Investigate accidents, breakdowns, or losses involving fleet vehicles.
- Implement corrective actions and preventative measures.
8. Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor and report on key fleet metrics.
- Use data to inform decision-making and identify performance trends.
