About the Role

Our client, a leading national retail chain, is seeking an experienced Regional Delivery Fleet Manager to oversee their delivery operations across the **Mossel Bay, Western Cape** region. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the regional delivery fleet, including scheduling and dispatch.
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of goods to customers across the region.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repair schedules, and regulatory compliance for the fleet.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of drivers and dispatch personnel.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, delivery times, and driver behavior.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, inventory, and expenditures.
• Liaise with external service providers, such as maintenance workshops and parts suppliers.
• Implement and enforce company policies related to safety, security, and customer service.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
• Proven experience managing delivery fleets, preferably in a retail or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of **Western Cape** road networks and logistics challenges.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Valid driver's license.
