Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading insurer in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will identify and secure new corporate accounts, build strategic partnerships, and tailor insurance solutions to client needs.

The role requires 5+ years of B2B sales in financial services or insurance, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and a willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development or sales, preferably in corporate insurance or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of corporate insurance products including liability, property and employee benefits.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel within Richards Bay and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet corporate insurance targets.
• Identify and pursue new corporate opportunities, including lead generation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and brokers.
• Conduct needs analyses and tailor insurance solutions accordingly.
• Present and negotiate proposals and contracts effectively.
• Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure seamless service.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitors and regulatory changes.
• Represent the company at events and network to grow market share.
