Job summary

Amazon GES in Cape Town is hiring a Construction Manager to lead project management of new Fulfillment Centers, retrofits, and expansions across the AMET region. The role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management.

The position is based in Cape Town with 40-60% travel domestically or to AMET countries, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project execution/supervision, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Civil engineering Bachelor's degree.
• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery for new FCs and expansions in AMET, including renovations and capacity improvements.
• Advise on schedule, cost, and permitting impacts.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams and operational customers to facilitate engineering and design efforts.
• Supervise multiple projects simultaneously, from small renovations to large facilities (> $20M).
• Represent Amazon with developers and general contractors and interface with other stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and cost analyses to define design requirements and services.
