Job summary

Electech Power Solutions in Cape Town seeks an Area Manager to drive sales of industrial automation, instrumentation and electrical products. You will actively engage prospects, manage key projects and align solutions to customer needs.

The role requires 3–4 years of sales experience in the electrical industry, travel nationwide, good communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's license and computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years sales experience in the electrical/automation industry.
• Must be willing to travel nationally.
• Must be computer literate.
• Geographical knowledge of Western Cape is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license and roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Sales and support to existing clients in the area allocated to you
• Calling and following up on Industry end users, OEM's, panel builders, system integrators, consultants, contractors and wholesalers
• Compiling an accurate and comprehensive database of customers and their relationships/influences
• Generating growth of allocated and new customer base
• Prepare customer proposals, reports and quotations
• Prepare and conduct training/presentations to customers
• Conducting exhibitions and customer-specific training if required
• Prepare and report on sales in the area assigned to you
• Attend to key projects or customer meetings
• Report on competitor activities
• Compile monthly sales review and forecasts against agreed targets
• Perform other, but not limited to, sales duties as directed by management
• Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs
• Promote customer understanding of our full product offering and align to provide a solution
• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
• Consulting with specifiers, influencers, and engineering consultants in the area
