Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair commercial/industrial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, chillers, display cases).

• Perform routine preventative maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Safely handle refrigerants per environmental regulations including recovery and disposal.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics and blueprints for installation/repair work.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and ensure client satisfaction.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Refrigeration Technician to join their team, servicing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems in the Richards Bay area. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, chillers, and display cases.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, identifying issues with compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
• Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations, including recovery and proper disposal.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide installation and repair work.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and ensure client satisfaction.
