Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated Refrigeration Systems Installer to join our essential services team. You will install, commission, and validate commercial and industrial refrigeration units, reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation and commissioning across the Western Cape.

You will perform system checks, leak tests, and safety compliance, collaborating with project managers and clients to meet timelines and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Refrigeration Installer or similar role.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles.
• Valid South African driver’s license and safe handling of refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, and chillers.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and schematics for installation accuracy.
• Perform system checks, pressure tests, and leak detection on new units.
• Adhere to safety, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet timelines and specs.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance advice post-installation.
