Job summary

Triton Express (Pty) Ltd in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Receiving and Dispatch Controller to manage day-to-day gateway operations, from capturing waybills to coordinating deliveries and pickups. You will monitor cargo movement, liaise with clients, verify documentation, and supervise loading, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

A 2-year clerical background and basic Freightware knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification required.
• 2 years general clerical experience.
• Basic understanding of warehousing procedures.
• Basic understanding of Freightware or similar.
• Freight Management system preferred.
• Computer operation.
• Commercial arithmetic calculations.
• Operation of general office equipment.
• Basic customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Capturing / distributing waybills and POD data.
• Issuing agent waybill numbers, printing manifests and obtaining signatures.
• Entering client waybill and delivery requirement details as dictated by Freightware.
• Providing client quotations.
• Contacting clients re parcel collections, verifying waybill numbers and collecting/cash handling.
• Collecting and sorting waybills according to route requirements.
• Checking cargo for damages, shortages and verifying waybills against cargo stickers.
• Creating scanning numbers for delivery and collection lists.
• Scanning parcels into trucks for delivery.
• Supervising cargo loading and safety compliance.
