Job summary

JVR Software in Durban seeks a skilled Raw Materials Stores Manager to oversee on-site and off-site stores, ensuring accurate batch tracking, FIFO, and GRV processes. You will manage stock movements in SAP, coordinate weekly and monthly stock takes, and drive efficiency across procurement and production teams.

The role emphasizes compliance with ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000, waste management, and asset care, with a focus on minimizing variances and maintaining a safe, well-organized warehouse

• Proficient in batch tracking, FIFO, GRV, and stock variance investigation.

• Manage Raw Materials Stores (on-site and off-site).
• Maintain batch and FIFO for HDPE and materials.
• Oversee GRV process and stock accuracy checks.
• Conduct weekly/monthly/yearly stock takes and spot checks.
• Administer raw material stock movements via SAP.
• Ensure timely distribution to production departments.
• Oversee off-site equipment maintenance and asset care.
• Monitor waste management and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Budgeting and forecasting for the department; lead projects to improve efficiency.

Job description

• Overall management of Raw Materials Stores (on-site and off-site).
• Batch and FIFO maintenance of HDPE and all materials.
• Management of GRV process
• Identifying control risks and implementing measures to mitigate or eliminate them (e.g., stock counts, stock movements, processes, etc.).
• Management of raw material shuttle truck.
• Conducting weekly/monthly and yearly stock takes, including unplanned spot checks on stock.
• Responsible for stock variances in raw materials and packaging
• Incoming inspection checks for raw materials and packaging, ensuring specifications are met.
• Administration of raw materials stock – transactions through SAP.
• Ensuring that the raw materials are distributed on time and correctly to production departments.
• Ensuring stock is handled correctly.
• Maintenance & management of offsite equipment, ensuring due care is taken of assets – divider cleaner/floor cleaner and operating equipment
• Ensuring internal & external customer satisfaction
• Accountable for waste management
• Ensuring correct documentation about invoices, receipts, and all other relevant documentation as per the ISO Standards (ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000)
• Departmental budgeting & forecasting,
• Driving departmental projects to close and ensure efficiency gains are realized.
• Managing department budget
• People management: continuous training & development of people, managing individual & team performance, compliance with HR & IR policies & procedures, adherence to training plans
