Job summary

Pro Talent is seeking a seasoned Materials and Warehouse Manager to lead Raw Materials Stores (on-site and off-site) with a focus on batch and FIFO control for HDPE and packaging materials. You will ensure accurate stock movements and timely distribution to production.

The role includes GRV management, stock takes, waste management, SAP transactions, and budgeting in collaboration with the Supply Chain Executive. A BCOM in Supply Chain or Logistics and strong SAP expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a BCOM degree: Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Proven track record of warehouse management & performance excellence in FMCG Supply Chain.
• Well-versed in SAP, able to troubleshoot easily in the system.
• Solid understanding of the plastics/packaging industry.
• Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-discipline and driven to succeed.
• An ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of Raw Materials Stores (on-site and off-site), including secondary packaging and divider cleaning.
• Batch and FIFO maintenance of HDPE and all materials, including cataloging regrind and issuing oldest bags first.
• Management of GRV process.
• Identifying control risks and implementing mitigation measures (stock counts, stock movements, processes).
• Management of raw material shuttle truck.
• Conducting weekly/monthly and yearly stock takes, including unplanned spot checks on stock.
• Responsible for stock variances in raw materials and packaging.
• Incoming inspection checks for raw materials and packaging, ensuring specs are met.
• Administration of raw materials stock - transactions through SAP.
• Ensuring raw materials are distributed on time and correctly to production departments.
• Maintaining adequate buffers of secondary packaging to ensure ongoing supply and keeping procurement informed weekly.
• Maintenance & management of offsite equipment (divider cleaner/floor cleaner and operating equipment).
• Ensuring internal & external customer satisfaction; accountable for waste management.
• Collection from plants; separation with waste partners; supplier collections; selling to 3rd parties; waste reconciliation to SAP scrapping.
• Ensuring correct documentation about invoices, receipts, and ISO standards (ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000).
• Department budgeting & forecasting with the Supply Chain Executive (wages/consumables/maintenance/projects).
• Driving departmental projects to close and realize efficiency gains.
• Managing department budget.
• People management: training & development, performance management, HR & IR policy adherence.
