Job summary

Alstom is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer Manager to govern the technical contractual scope of railway solutions, from design to delivery, ensuring QCD commitments are met. You will lead engineering teams, validate designs with peers, and manage regulatory considerations across the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager to handle scope changes, oversee risk mitigation, and ensure customer acceptance and safety cases are addressed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjects
• Master in Project Engineering Management
• Engineering background with full lifecycle project deployment
• Hands-on experience in both functional and hierarchical team management
• Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope
• Experience with customer relations in contractual contexts
• Knowledge of railway products and market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
• Engineering product development across the lifecycle
• Safety background

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical contractual scope to meet quality, cost, performance and schedule commitments.
• Be accountable for customer acceptance of the project solution.
• Manage project technical risks and mitigation plans.
• Raise and manage variation orders with the Project Manager when scope evolves.
• Validate technical design choices with peers and the Solution Director.
• Identify regulations in the customer country/city and ensure they are addressed in the design.
• Lead the project engineering team and allocate tasks.
• Act as chair of the Project Change Control Board (CCB).
• Provide BOM and supervise verification activities.
• Verify the Project Safety Case scope and strategy.
