Pronel Consultants seeks a Quality Systems Manager to own the Quality, Food Safety and OHS systems and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business. We’re looking for a Quality Systems Manager to take ownership of the organisation’s Quality, Food Safety and OHS systems and help drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
What’s on your plate?
You’ll be responsible for:
Owning and continually improving the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems
Keeping the business audit-ready and ensuring ongoing FSSC 22000 compliance
Leading internal, supplier, customer and certification audits
Taking charge of non-conformances, complaints, CAPAs and root-cause investigations
Driving food safety, hazard analysis, risk assessments and traceability
Leading OHS risk assessments, incident investigations and workplace safety initiatives
Monitoring quality, food safety and OHS trends and turning the data into action
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Warehousing to improve processes
Managing supplier approval and incoming-material quality controls
Building employee awareness through training, coaching and engagement
Leading and developing the Quality team
What we’re looking for
A relevant Diploma or Degree in Quality, Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Environmental Health, Safety Management or a related field
FSSC 22000 training
Internal or Lead Auditor training
Formal OHS training such as SAMTRAC
Solid experience in food manufacturing, food packaging or another regulated manufacturing environment
Proven experience dealing with certification, customer and regulatory audits
Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP/hazard analysis, risk assessment and CAPA
Practical OHS and incident investigation experience
Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills
