Job summary

Pronel Consultants seeks a Quality Systems Manager to own the Quality, Food Safety and OHS systems and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business. You’ll lead audits (internal, supplier and certification), manage CAPA and root-cause investigations, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Procurement to elevate processes while embedding a strong quality and safety culture.

Qualifications

• A relevant Diploma or Degree in Quality, Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Environmental Health, Safety Management or a related field
• FSSC 22000 training
• Internal or Lead Auditor training
• Formal OHS training such as SAMTRAC
• Solid experience in food manufacturing, food packaging or another regulated manufacturing environment
• Proven experience dealing with certification, customer and regulatory audits
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP/hazard analysis, risk assessment and CAPA
• Practical OHS and incident investigation experience
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Owning and continually improving the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems
• Keeping the business audit-ready and ensuring ongoing FSSC 22000 compliance
• Leading internal, supplier, customer and certification audits
• Taking charge of non-conformances, complaints, CAPAs and root-cause investigations
• Driving food safety, hazard analysis, risk assessments and traceability
• Leading OHS risk assessments, incident investigations and workplace safety initiatives
• Monitoring quality, food safety and OHS trends and turning the data into action
• Working closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Warehousing to improve processes
• Managing supplier approval and incoming-material quality controls
• Building employee awareness through training, coaching and engagement
• Leading and developing the Quality team
