Job summary
A leading logistics company in Johannesburg seeks a skilled Welding Inspector to oversee welding activities, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain quality control documentation. Candidates should have a Matric certificate and experience in the trailer industry is advantageous. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential. Willingness to work overtime may be required.
Qualifications
- Able to read and interpret Engineering drawing requirements.
- Previous experience in trailer/tanker/truck industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all welding activities align with approved procedures.
- Keep accurate records of inspection data and test results.
- Submit reports to QC Manager documenting findings.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all welding activities are conducted according to approved procedures and industry standards.
- Performing visual and other inspections as required.
- Finding and recording any welding defects or non-conformances.
- Keeping accurate records of inspection data, test results and quality control documents.
- Submitting reports to QC Manager, documenting inspection findings and corrective actions.
- Developing and maintaining quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures and inspection criteria.
Requirements
