Job summary

Chainlink SA is seeking a Quality Inspector for our Rustenburg site to conduct dimensional and visual inspections of fabricated steel components. You will interpret drawings, verify weld prep, and release materials that meet quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in steel fabrication or construction, with demonstrated ability to sign off inspection reports and maintain accurate records. Collaboration with production and client reps is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience as a Quality Inspector in a steel fabrication, structural steel, or construction environment.
• Proven experience completing and signing off inspection reports.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding preparation, and quality inspection processes.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections using measuring equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding preparation, and quality inspection processes.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections using measuring equipment.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

Advantageous

• Relevant Quality Inspection qualification or certification.
• Experience working to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with working on Valterra/Mortimer projects and standards
• Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication standards.
• Experience working with client quality requirements and inspection documentation.
