Job summary

ANDERBOLT ELECTROPLATERS seeks an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to own the QC function within our electroplating and finishing operations. You will drive day‑to‑day QC, ensure products meet customer specifications, and strengthen the QMS on the shop floor.

You will lead investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while collaborating closely with production to prevent recurrence and support external audits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a QC Supervisor / Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager role.
• Manufacturing or industrial quality experience.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001.
• Experience with non-conformances, corrective actions and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the QC department.
• Maintain effective inspection and testing procedures.
• Inspect incoming, in‑process and finished products.
• Verify coating thickness, appearance and other customer‑specific requirements.
• Ensure products are released only when they meet the required specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
• Monitor quality trends and identify recurring problems.
• Work closely with production to control quality at every stage of the plating process.
• Monitor process parameters and identify deviations before they become customer complaints.
• Investigate plating defects and process failures.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Drive continuous improvement within production and QC.
• Take ownership of the day‑to‑day operation of the Quality Management System (IQMS).
• Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, forms and records.
• Conduct internal audits and follow up on findings.
• Manage non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Prepare the company for customer and certification audits.
• Ensure documented procedures are followed on the shop floor.
• Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the QMS.
• Investigate customer complaints and provide technical feedback.
• Prepare quality reports and corrective‑action responses.
• Understand customer specifications and translate them into practical inspection requirements.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality‑related matters when required.
• Support the introduction of new processes and customer requirements.

We are looking for an experienced, driven and hands‑on Quality Control Supervisor to take ownership of our Quality Control function and play a key role in the continual development of our Quality Management System.

This is not a paperwork-only position.

We are looking for someone who understands manufacturing quality, can work confidently with production, and has the ability to identify problems, investigate root causes and implement practical corrective actions.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the QC function, ensuring that our electroplating and metal‑finishing processes consistently meet customer requirements, specifications and internal quality standards.

You will also play a key role in strengthening and maintaining our Quality Management System, ensuring that the system is implemented effectively throughout the business — not simply maintained on paper.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control

• Manage and supervise the QC department

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You should be comfortable walking onto the factory floor, identifying a quality problem and working with production to determine why it happened and how to prevent it from happening again.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a QC Supervisor / Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager role
• Manufacturing or industrial quality experience
• Good understanding of ISO 9001
• Experience with non‑conformances, corrective actions and root‑cause analysis
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Highly advantageous:

• Experience in electroplating, metal finishing, surface treatment or coatings
• Knowledge of plating defects and their causes
• Experience with coating thickness testing
• Experience with salt‑spray or corrosion testing
• Experience working with customer specifications
• Experience implementing or improving an ISO 9001 QMS
• Experience preparing for external certification or customer audits
