Job summary

Cipla Africa in Durban is seeking a laboratory support professional to manage the receipt and storage of intermediate and final products, raw materials, and stability samples, and to issue documentation and procure laboratory consumables and equipment.

The role emphasizes GMP compliance, document control, and collaboration with QA, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure accurate records and timely stock management.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced Diploma in Biotechnology.
• 1-2 years in an internationalized/accredited pharmaceutical production environment.

Responsibilities

• Issuance of documents for Finished product, Stability, Packaging, Micro and Raw material.
• Initiation of required changes as per change control.
• To ensure compliance with current Good Laboratory Practices.
• Maintenance of Laboratory working area i.e. good housekeeping.
• Co-ordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Receiving and confirming all samples received into the Lab.
• Archiving and retrieval of documents.
• General administrative duties including photocopying, filing, binding, and scanning of relevant documents.
• Ordering and fetching of stationery used in the lab.
• Uploading of invoices on the CIMMRA portal.

Education
