Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Quality Control Engineer with a mechanical background to join a manufacturing facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role ensures that all mechanical components and products meet stringent quality standards and specifications; you will implement and oversee quality control procedures and collaborate with production teams to address quality issues.

You will conduct inspections, utilize metrology tools like CMM, calipers and gauges, interpret engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of quality control experience in mechanical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Proficiency with metrology tools and techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for mechanical manufacturing.
• Conduct inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Use measuring instruments (CMM, calipers, gauges) to verify specs.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement to resolve issues.
• Maintain quality records and ensure traceability.
