Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Chemical Engineer to lead quality control at their Kimberley facility. You will implement QMS, perform chemical analyses, and collaborate with production and R&D to maintain product integrity.

The role emphasizes adherence to ISO 9001 standards, CAPA investigation, and robust record-keeping to ensure customer satisfaction in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2–4 years in quality control or quality assurance in chemical manufacturing.
• Proficiency with analytical laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the plant's quality control procedures and protocols.
• Conduct routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Investigate quality deviations, identify root causes, and recommend CAPA.
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare regular quality performance reports.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to ensure consistency and improvement in product quality.
