Placements24 is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee QA/QC programs at the Centurion, Gauteng facility. The role focuses on maintaining top product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while leading a QA team.

The successful candidate will develop and sustain robust quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure documentation and CAPA processes are diligently followed. A degree in related sciences and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and ISO 22000.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and documentation discipline.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
• Hybrid work model with regular Centurion site presence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive QA and QC systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP) and customer specs.
• Lead and manage the QA/QC team, providing training and performance feedback.
• Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Investigate deviations, complaints, and non-conformance; implement CAPA.
• Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality at all stages.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain to drive improvements.
• Maintain quality-related documentation and certificates.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in food safety and quality mgmt.
