Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team, develop, implement and maintain the quality management system, and ensure product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic food and beverage manufacturing environment.

You will oversee audits, CAPA actions, and laboratory operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with R&D, production and supply chain to embed quality across the product lifecycle in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field.
• Minimum 5 years in QA/QC in Food & Beverage manufacturing.
• Experience with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000.
• Proven leadership of a QA team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage QA policies and procedures for the Cape Town facility.
• Ensure products meet quality and safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Lead and mentor the QA team; drive professional growth.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external audits by regulators and customers.
• Oversee CAPA investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes for quality compliance with real-time feedback.
• Oversee quality control testing protocols and lab operations.
• Stay updated with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain to integrate quality.
