Placements24 is seeking a qualified Pump Systems Technician to join the maintenance and operations team in Randburg. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of various pump systems used in industrial, commercial, and municipal applications, with a focus on safe, efficient operation.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, and collaborate with other trades to ensure reliability and quality workmanship in a hands‑on environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pump Systems Technician or similar mechanical maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of pump operation, seals, bearings, and motors.
• Ability to read pump schematics and maintenance logs; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain a wide range of pump systems, including centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to pump performance, seals, bearings, and motors.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system operation and longevity.
• Read and interpret pump schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards.
